Fireplexity.org is a static information website about the open-source Fireplexity project. It has no user accounts, no sign-in or password reset, no comments and no search box. The only form is the optional notify list at the bottom of each page. Apart from that and any email you send us, we do not ask for or store personal information.
Apart from the notify list and email described below, we do not collect personal data directly. Like any website, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type and requested page) to deliver the pages, keep the site secure and produce aggregate traffic statistics.
If you put your email in the "Notify me" box, we store four things: the address, the time you signed up, the page you were on, and a two-letter country code that Cloudflare works out from your connection. Your IP address is not stored with it.
We use the address only to email you when a new guide is published. We don't share it with anyone. The list is kept in Cloudflare Workers KV. To be removed, email hi@fireplexity.org and we'll delete your entry.
If you write to hi@fireplexity.org, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to read and reply to you, and we delete the message once it has been dealt with. Emailing us does not add you to the notify list. To have a message deleted sooner, say so in your email.
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own.
This site describes the software but does not run it. If you self-host Fireplexity, the data it handles, including search queries and the API providers it calls, is under your control and your providers' policies, not ours.
Questions about this policy, or anything else on the site: hi@fireplexity.org.
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date.
We test each guide on open-source AI search, self-hosting and Perplexity alternatives before it goes up. Get a short note when the next one is out.
